Mariangela Sansone is an essay writer and film critic, working for various film magazines, including Uzak, Cineforum, Sentieri Selvaggi, Nocturno, Asian Feast, Orizzonti di Gloria, Mondes Du Cinema. She was a member of the jury at Kimera International Film Festival in Termoli, Fantafestival in Rome, Festival Campi Flegrei Web Series, Ravenna Nightmare Film Festival, Festival Regards sur le cinéma du monde in Rouen and in Paris; since 2015 she oversees the Italian section of Festival Regards sur le cinéma du monde. She collaborated with the Polish Film Festival in Rome and the Experimental Centre of Cinematography in Rome. Since 2014 she works with Ravenna Nightmare International Film Festival and Corto Imola International Film Festival, taking care of retrospectives and events on silent movies, fantasy e neo noir.
